When cleaning printers, spilled toner presents a unique challenge. It will turn into an inky mess if it gets wet and it can stick to everything. Since it is a carcinogen, it should not be blown into the air and inhaled. You should use an electronic vacuum specifically designed to pick up toner. Because the filter of a normal vacuum isn't fine enough to capture all the particles, toner may circulate in the air. Normal electronic vacuums could melt the toner rather than collect it.
