On a laptop which seems to be frozen, you repeatedly enter the Num Lock key, yet the indicator light remains on. What should you do to try to solve the problem?

If the laptop is frozen, the only way to restart it is to perform a hard boot. Although turning off all power sources might work, it is not necessary. Simply hold down the power button for roughly five seconds to turn off the laptop. If it does not work, you may need to disconnect power sources.
