Which software is used to control who has access to resources in a Windows domain?

The software and large database used to manage the resources on a Windows domain are known as Active Directory. Because the user's data is stored in a home folder on an Active Directory server rather than on the local device, it is more secure and less likely to be stolen. A security group is a collection of computers or users who need the same level of resource access. The security group gets permissions, which are then passed on to to the group's members. Organizational units are collections of resources, computers, and people. Organizational units can utilize Group Policies to make sure that all computers and users within that group have appropriate access to resources.
