Enabling a screen lock adds the most basic level of security to a smartphone. To access the device, a user will need to enter a code. Usually, that is sufficient to deter casual snoopers and potential hackers. When you need two or more ways to prove your identity (something you are, something you know, something you have, or someplace you are), you need multifactor authentication. The data would be encoded and require a key to decrypt it under full-device encryption. If a phone is lost or stolen, a feature called remote wipe can be utilized to delete all of the personal or company data from it.
