The operating system has various locations where you can check the amount of installed physical RAM. It is neither necessary nor accurate to open the case and count the modules to determine how much RAM you have. This and other information about your computer are available in the System Information utility (msinfo32.exe). Not only will Task Manager's Performance tab display how much physical memory you have available, but it will also display how much of it is now being used. This might help you determine whether you have adequate RAM installed because it also takes into account what is normally being used in your system. Settings ➢ System ➢ About is another place you can see installed RAM. There is no Memory utility in Control Panel.
