Most laptop antennas have wires that run up the sides of the display and connect to the main board. You may find one on the mainboard sometimes. Unlike legacy laptops, modern laptops often don't have removable areas on the bottom or back. Buying a Wi-Fi network card that plugs into an external port, such as a USB port, is an option if a laptop's antenna stops functioning.
