It doesn't take much to launch a DoS (denial-of-service) attack on a wireless network. Your network could go down if someone nearby uses a Wi-Fi analyzer to find out what channel you're using and bombards it with interference. Changing the channel would offer a short-term solution. Find a less crowded channel using a Wi-Fi analyzer, then switch to it. Resetting your router to factory defaults wouldn't fix the problem and would just increase your workload.
